Today’s Gospel reading is where Shakespeare got the title of one of his lesser known plays. (It’s still a great play though.) I will only post the last two verses of today’s Gospel:
“Stop judging and you will
not be judged.
Stop condemning and you
will not be condemned.
Forgive and you will be
forgiven.
Give, and gifts will be
given to you;
a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing,
will be poured into your
lap.
For the measure with which
you measure
will in return be measured
out to you.”
-Lk 6:37-38
How many of us can really not judge others? It is hard. I try not to. You can listen to the entire reading in this very well done reenactment.
