Matthew Monday: School Christmas Show 2019

I have some more Christmas stuff to share.  Matthew’s school puts on a Christmas show every year.  The fourth grade class puts on a Nativity Play while the fifth grade class sings Christmas songs that amplify the drama.  Last year Matthew was in the Nativity Play, and I posted on it here.  This year, being in fifth grade, his class gets to sing the Christmas hymns.  Here are some photos and a movie clip.

I was not up close, so it took me a while to get the correct film speed.  Here is the entire class and then Matthew by himself.

I was able to film one of the numbers, “Do You Hear What I Hear.”  Because Matthew has been in the Church Choir for a couple of years now, he was given the echo solo of the refrain.  See if you can hear his voice.

The Nativity Play was Part 1 of the Christmas show.  In Part 2, the school orchestra/band (whatever you want to call it) play a few songs.  Matthew is in the violins.  Here’s a photo Matthew playing.

As you may tell, Matthew had to change from a red shirt to a white during intermission.  Here are the violins playing “Jingle Bells” and “Angels We Have Heard on High.”

And finally the handsome young man coming off stage.

  1. Well done, Matthew. You have made your parents happy and proud; rightly so. You are a grand young man. God bless you and your parents always.
