Halloween
was last week and as I do every year I post pictures of Matthew in his
costume. Two years ago Matthew was an
evil character for the first time, a zombie convict. I didn’t like the fact that he was an evil character. Last year they—him and my wife, they’re both against
me—sort of appeased me by having him go as a ninja. Not that a ninja is necessarily a good guy,
but he doesn’t have to be an evil character.
It’s a bit ambiguous. This year
they couldn’t care less what I wanted.
Matthew went as an evil clown.
I
guess the Joker movie that’s been out has influenced the costume fad. It’s not my cup of tea, but Matthew says
Halloween is supposed to be about evil characters. Is that true?
It has to be evil? If you click
on the Halloween tag at the bottom of this post, all the Halloween posts through
the years will come up and you can see Matthew’s costumes through the years.
Well,
here he is without the mask.
Now
this year you don’t see him in a picture with my mother as has been my
tradition. This year my mother was in
the hospital through Halloween for a severe and stubborn case of
bronchitis. Today she should be coming
out. She will have been there nine days.
