Music Tuesday: Tarantella Napoletana

Well, I happen to be in an Italian mood.  Scenes from Naples, the nearest major city from where I'm originally from.

The reason I'm in an Italian mood is that a friend sent me the following video of the ten things to love about Italy.  I thought it was enjoyable, and because I couldn't place the music I added the above video.  It sounds like a tarantella, but it's not.  The way the woman at the beginning is making pasta is exactly like my mother makes pasta.  I think the video captures Italian life well.

Hope you enjoyed them both.

  1. The first one is the classic of tarantellas! I enjoyed the food video too. It made me hungry even at 7AM, lol. I'll bet that cheese factory smelled crazy! Even though it may not have been a good representation of real everyday Italian life, I thought it was shot well, with beautiful scenery, and lovely young people.
What is the name of the town you're from?

    1. The name of the town is Altavilla Irpina, and if you can try to read Italian, here's their Italian wikipedia entry:

Padre Pio is from a nearby town.

  3. Whoever made the second film forgot ricotta and gorgonzola.

    Surely God must be Italian.

    God bless.

  4. Long story short, I have not been on the internet much of the time lately but for what it is worth, I hope that your good mother is doing well Manny cause if I'm ever in your area maybe with your help, I'll get to taste some real good Italian pasta. :)

    God Bless
