So
here is a great quote for a Monday morning from the philosopher
Emperor, Marcus Aurelius. From his Meditations.
At dawn, when you have trouble getting out of
bed, tell yourself: “I have to go to work — as a human being. What do I have to
complain of, if I’m going to do what I was born for — the things I was brought
into the world to do? Or is this what I was created for? To huddle under the
blankets and stay warm?…So you were born to feel “nice”? Instead of doing
things and experiencing them? Don’t you see the plants, the birds, the ants and
spiders and bees going about their individual tasks, putting the world in
order, as best they can? And you’re not willing to do your job as a human
being? Why aren’t you running to do what your nature demands?
In
other words, get your ass out of bed and get to work. The holidays are over.
Haha. Well timed!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly. Nice to see here.
DeleteHang in there Manny... Like Marcus said in so many words: if the plants, the birds, the ants, spiders and bees go about their individual tasks putting the world in order as best they can so why can't we do "IT" also?
ReplyDeleteI hear YA Man... What does philosopher Victor #2, "I" mean what does sinner vic say about this post?
Philosopher sinner vic has been known to think that "The Three in "ONE", the soul, the spirit and flesh is influenced by the combined power of his/her earthly thoughts while telling Victor to keep his divine parts pure and to himself. LOL

Until next time... please keep praying for me, me and me. :( :)
LOL, Victor, that was my own video! Thanks. I was playing football with Matthew at the park today since we had a holiday (MLK Day) here in the States. Hey I love hearing Philosopher Vic pontificate. I will pray for you and your family.
