Matthew Monday: The Blizzard that Wasn’t

OK, last week the East Coast was to get a blizzard.  Predictions of snowfall started at three feet, that’s 36 inches, over 91 cm!  But gradually as the storm got closer predictions kept getting reduced.  It went from 36 to 30 to 24 to 18 inches until they kind of gave up and said just expect the worse but the heart of the Nor’easter (as a storm that travels up the coast is called here) may stay off the coast.  The actual total I think might have reached eight inches (20 cm).  Trust me, it didn’t break my heart.

Here are some pictures of Matthew and Rosie.

Sledding around the neighborhood before the snow plows cleared the streets.

In the backyard with Rosie.

Trying to help with his personal little yellow shovel.

Rosie being her destructive self.

The two of them facing off.

Winter is only fun for about a couple of hours.

  1. We had a very light dusting of snow last week. I tripped on a single snowflake. Then it all melted away.

Right now (Monday night) it is snowing heavily and settling everywhere.

    God bless.

  3. I Love the picture of Matthew and his personal shovel! He looks so ready to tackle that snow! Manny, these pictures now will bring so much back after Matthew has grown up! Rosie seems like the ideal companion for Matthew------ ready for anything involving mischief!
