Personal Note: The End of J's Cafe Blog

My first blogging experience was to be a guest blogger at J's Cafe Nette.  Jeanette, the owner of the blog, who has been so kind and gracious to allow me to blog there, has decided she has had enough of blogging and will close down her blog.  Some of my readers here are also readers there.  We (Jeanette, Sue our other co-blogger, and I) have said our farewells and posted our last blog

I don't know how I will express my political and more controversial views without J's Cafe.  This blog is not oriented for it.  I might consider opening a separate political blog, but frankly it's hard enough to keep up with this blog.  So for now I will have to express my political opinions as a commenter on political sites and articles.

I wished my co-bloggers at J's Cafe well at the farewell blog, but let me do so again here.  To Jeanette and Sue, I want to thank you for your kindness, your wiliness to put up with me, and your friendship.  Let us stay in touch my friends.

  1. I never say goodbye, Manny. It's just a habit developed through all the years of being raised in and marrying into the military.

Life sometimes interferes with relationships or friendships yet those important to us will always have a place in our heart.

You can bet I'll be stopping by to keep up with Matthew's doings..wild horses couldn't keep me away.

It was a pleasure working with you at J's and I look forward to a continuing friendship.

  2. I thank you for the kind words, Manny, and if we lose touch it won't be because I stopped trying. ;)

I consider you and Sue and your families part of my own family and I have been cursed with a strong sense of family to the point I take on everyone's problems.

I thank you for blogging at J's and am sorry you feel you can't discuss those issues here, but the site is paid through March of next year I believe (for the hosting company) and you can always get in touch with Kim to see if you can get something established as an auxiliary blog on that site and when the bill comes in I'll just forward it to you.

Email me if that sounds interesting to you. Kim is going to make the blog static as of the 31 of August, but we could do a separate Word Press blog for whatever you care to name it. Just let me know what you want to do, my dear friend.

I just found that I was unable to comment on anything of import and asked both of you what you felt before making the decision. You agreed to a small extent and Sue agreed wholly.

Take care and may God bless you and your wife and wonderful little boy Matthew.

    1. Hmm, now that is an interesting offer. But for now I have to say I can't do it. If I change my mind I'll let you know. Thank you for the offer.

  3. Hmm..J's reverting back to politics..now that's an interesting thought.

Brings back memories of days long gone by when while we blogged with Guss on many interesting topics, politics was the real flavor of the day.

Good luck with it Manny should you decide to go that direction.
