Here’s a picture from Brandi’s last week, where the
three of us are sitting on the couch.
Looks like I was reading to Matthew while Brandi rested in one of her
favorite spots.

Matthew Monday: Accepting Brandi’s Passing
It’s been a week since we had to euthanize ourbeloved Brandi, and I think it’s finally sinking into Matthew that Brandi is
gone. He understands she’s dead and that
now she’s gone to heaven, but I think until this weekend he expected her to
return. Today I finally saw sadness that
she’s gone for good. He even asked if
she’s with God. I said she was and that
she was playing with our previous dog, Sasha, which Matthew has never
seen. Sasha died a few months before
Brandi was born in 2003.

I am so sorry. I was thinking about making one of those photo books for Bird because it is still so sad. They have some that are dog related if Matthew wanted to make one. I've seen vacation books before (Snapfish or Shutterfly) and they were nice and a great remembrance.
ReplyDelete(((Losing a dog is like losing a family member. I can tell you the pain has not softened around here yet.)))
ReplyDeleteDon't tell any body Manny but with tears in my eyes I can honestly agree with you cause I can recall when our older brother Joe, God bless his soul, when we lost his, I mean my dog "Black he" cause as far as I'm concern, he was as much my dog and long story short, when I was about six years old......never mind...
Yes! She's definitely with GOD (Good Old Dad) and the rest of His Beloved Animals.
God Bless you and your family in this heart felt moment.
Peace
So sorry Manny. Prayers with you and your family in this sad time.
ReplyDeleteThank you all.
