This will be short and sweet, and no it’s not part of the Air Show we attended on Father’s Day which I posted. This was a “Community Day” held at my work, which amounts to a company event where everyone got the afternoon off. It was a bring your family to work for the get together and there were all types of activities. There was even a dunk tank my boss’s boss’s boss twice! A dunk tank, if you aren’t familiar, is a tank full of water with a seat above that tilts if a release triggers. The release is triggered by throwing softball type balls to a four inch circular disk that triggers the release. You get three balls to throw. I dunked him two out three! That’s ok, I’m longtime friends with Tony.
But the big event was the parachute drop from a helicopter. These were parachute jumpers from West Point that came down. Just one video but it is amazing.
You
will see the helicopter in the sky at around the twelve second mark. It will just appear to be a black speck in
the sky. Then you’ll see four specks
jump out of the plane. Then just watch.
It
was even more breathtaking in person!
