Faith Filled Friday: The Blood of the Martyrs, The Holy Thursday Massacre

“If you were a Christian,” one student recalled to the Associated Press, “you were shot on the spot.”     

I gasped when I read it.  They must think that this will cause Christians to wither and Christianity to recede.  But they are so wrong.  The blood of the martyrs is the seed to the church.  Martyrdom only makes Christianity grow.  The latest is 147 dead, and a claimed terrorist attack by the Somali Muslim (of course) group Al-Shabaab.  Blessed be the 147.  They died on the Holy weekend.  They died for their Christian identity.  They are united in Christ.  Pray for them on this Good Friday.
