SCENE I. A cavern. In the middle, a boiling cauldron.
Thunder. Enter the three Witches
Round about the cauldron
go;
In the poison'd entrails throw.
Toad, that under cold stone
Days and nights has thirty-one
Swelter'd venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first i' the charmed pot.

Double, double toil and
trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg and owlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

Scale of dragon, tooth
of wolf,
Witches' mummy, maw and gulf
Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark,
Root of hemlock digg'd i' the dark,
Liver of blaspheming Jew,
Gall of goat, and slips of yew
Silver'd in the moon's eclipse,
Nose of Turk and Tartar's lips,
Finger of birth-strangled babe
Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,
Make the gruel thick and slab:
Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,
For the ingredients of our cauldron.

Cool it with a baboon's

Then the charm is firm and good.

Enter HECATE to the
other three Witches
O well done! I commend
your pains;
And every one shall share i' the gains;
And now about the cauldron sing,
Live elves and fairies in a ring,
Enchanting all that you put in.

HECATE retires
By the pricking of my
thumbs,
Something wicked this way comes.
Open, locks,
Whoever knocks!

Open, locks,
Whoever knocks!

Hope you had a horror filled Halloween. ;)
LOVE this scene Manny!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's great!
DeleteGee! I was sure that I had written a little something here on a different topic but it must have been sinner vic who hypnotized us (usual sinners) and his penalty for "IT" is "Death" and so he no longer exist.

I hear YA Manny! At least, I didn't hit the down button on YA NOW so "don’t be a jerk about it"! :)
Just kidding Manny! I'm sure that I must have forgot to hit the send button but then again, there's no telling what the demon hackers can conger up on Halloween.
God Bless you and your family Manny and please keep praying for me.
Victor you did comment, just not here. Your comment was in the Poe House of Usher post and for some reason you were "Anonymous."

I haven't tried your links yet. I will when I have a little more time.
Thanks Manny! I'm going to check it out cause right now I'm thinking that it must have been the hackers having a little Halloween fun with me. (lol)
ReplyDeleteI hear YA! Remember Victor that you are also getting older and old people are allowed to make mistakes now and then! :)
God Bless Peace
Glad to hear your son-in-law is better Victor. I've been preoccupied this week with my mother in the hospital and now staying over with her for a few days to make sure she can handle being alone. She's doing better too.
DeleteGee! You hit a soft spot there Manny cause I've got the picture of my mother on my wall who died about nine years ago at the age of almost 87 years young.
ReplyDeleteI still recall the beautiful story that you wrote about your mother and that's one of the reasons that I took a liking to YA. :)
She must be very proud of you.
I'll keep praying
Not sure how proud she is. I wasn't really going to get into the story, but I've decided I will in tomorrow's Matthew Monday. Stay tuned.
